It was announced today that UK new car registrations are at all-time high in 2015
In 2015 some 2.63 million new vehicles were registered, up about 6% on 2014. Experts put this down to stronger consumer confidence, special deals, and cheap finance, all pushing up the figures. As well as low interest rates and the strengthening of sterling against the euro making it cheaper to import cars from countries such as Germany and France.
So heres out run down on whats new in 2016 – which one would you choose?
Spring 2016...

Available from April. Choose either rear or 4 wheel drive with the option of manual or automatic gearbox. Possibilities of a smaller model in 2017.
Ford Edge – Est. Price £30,000
An alternative to the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5 includes lots of tech such as inflatable seatbelts. Three levels of trim available.
Hyundai i20 Active – Est. Price £13,000
No 4 wheel drive but comes with chunkier styling. Currently only available in the 5 door option.
Summer 2016...
Range Rover Evoque Convertible – Est. Price £47,500

Alfa Romeo Giulia – Est. Price £24,000
Returning to the compact executive market after 4 years.
Fiat Tipo – Est. Price £15,000
A competitor to the Ford Focus and Vauxhall Astra, the Tipo will be available as a 5 door and an estate.
Suzuki Baleno – Est. Price £12,000
A revival of the forgotten Baleno badge. Practical option offering more cabin space and a bigger boot.
Winter 2016...
Aston Martin DB11 – Est. Price £170,000
The replacement for the DB9 and hopefully available with V8 engine. The interior is likely to share components with Mercedes.
Peugeot 308 R Hybrid – Est. Price £35,000
Developed by Peugeot Sport, the brands Motorsport arm, to up the ante in the hot hatch market. This is a plug in hybrid that can even be driven on electric power alone.
Fiat Abarth 500X – Est. Price £22,000
The 500 crossover is more than just a flash body kit. It comes equipped with a 1.75 litre turbo engine and is capable of 0-62mph in under 7 seconds.
